There are an unlimited number of awesome places in Alaska; here are a few of them that have websites.... Valdez- "I don't think it's the best place because I live here, I live here because I think it's the best place." Cordova- A wonderfully scenic spot on the southeast shores of Prince William Sound. One of my favorite places to visit. Excellent fishing. Kodiak-Almost the size of Hawaii's Big Island, Kodiak is a fish and wildlife mecca. Home of the biggest brown bears in the world. Chena Hot Springs-Located just 60 miles east of Fairbanks. This is a great resort with lots of activities, including viewing some of the most active northern lights in the world. Yakutat-A beautiful remote community located on Alaska's Gulf Coast, with the stunning Saint Elias Mountains as a backdrop. McCarthy-Kennicott- This place is draped in rich history and bathed in uncommon natural scenery! The area is the gateway to the eye-poping Wrangell-Saint Elias National Park. Nome- An historic community on Alaska's west coast. The Iron Dog Snowmachine Race passes through here and the famed Iditorod Sled Dog Race finishes here. Home of the famous Bering Sea Ice Golf Classic. |
